diablo 4 - season 4
đ
7.75/10
TLDR: Diablo 4 - Season 4 has stunning visuals, deep customization, and great co-op fun, but itâs not beginner-friendly, has class imbalances, and lacks endgame variety.

â cons

OCEANWOLV
Diablo 4 is not beginner-friendly
Helltides are very unclear at first
Class imbalance; the Barbarian is OP
đ¤źđ˝ co-op ability: 8/10
(how well the game supports teamwork and collaboration between players)
ALOKINâS RATING: 6/10
The campaign can be completed entirely solo and even when running a pair of 2 or group of 4 the game doesnât feel much âdifferentâ. Adding players greatly enhances the fun factor and traveling together in groups is incredibly fulfilling.
OCEANWOLVâS RATING: 10/10
Diablo IVâs open world is built for multiplayer, both public and private. Alokin and I mostly play together but prefer it with friends. It is so much more satisfying to battle as a group in the Helltides â demolishing or fleeing from the commanders together and helping out low-level newcomers as others did for us! Memories are created here. :â)
đ¨ production quality: 9.5/10
(the design, artwork, components, and overall craft of the game's materials)
ALOKINâS RATING: 9/10
Incredible amount of content and details in this game makes it almost perfect for me. The color palette feels bland sometimes. I myself preferred the Diablo 3 bright world of magic and spells. Every detail in the game is well thought out from a small tree to the big bosses.
OCEANWOLVâS RATING: 10/10
The level of craft with the art, details, and animations is unmatched and unforgettable, with the highlights being the mounts and new class! My only complaints are the daily store refresh without a wishlist option and the class-specific costumes. I wish all outfits were available for every class! The Sorcererâs clothing is very underwhelming.
đŽ gameplay mechanics: 5.5/10
(the game's rules, flow, balance, and how engaging and intuitive the gameplay feels)
ALOKINâS RATING: 7/10
It does what itâs supposed to do but I wish there were more opportunities to macro the skills and tools outside of remapping the keys. Picking up items can sometimes be a pain. Diablo Immortal nailed this, they didnât add it here. End game boss experiences can feel like non-stop button mashing spells over and over again without added value.
OCEANWOLVâS RATING: 4/10
The clear favoritism for the Barbarian class is frustrating due to its exclusive perks (e.g. extra weapons and mobility advantages) without any equivalent compensation for the other six classes, making endgame balance unfair. Unless you commit to long-term play, co-op, or class exploration, defeating events and masters feels nearly impossible.
𤊠overall fun: 8/10
(how enjoyable and entertaining the game is for immediate play and long-term re-playability)
ALOKINâS RATING: 8/10
Incredibly fun and more-so as players are added to the party. I wish there was more synergy in spell combos with different classes. You could have a party of 4 Barbarians and the game would play the same. Incentives for a party with 4 different classes would be awesome.
OCEANWOLVâS RATING: 8/10
Alokin and I have played Diablo 3, Immortal, and 4 together. Its deep endgame, custom class builds, and seasonal updates make it a high re-playable and legendary franchise. For avid fans like us, Diablo 4 is a must-play, especially with the mounts and new class. New to Diablo? Team up with a veteran or check forums to navigate the complex game.
TIPS TO START
(helpful insights as you begin the game)
ALOKINâS
Must use your Elixirâs for experiencing and leveling up! There is no other tip that matters. Unless youâre min/maxâing your character clean just use Elixirs.
Up to level 60, there is no item that you need to keep so just equip the most powerful ones to keep you upgrading with the levels.
Try all the characters! Each play very different and feels like a new game. Find one that fits your personality and gameplay style. And make sure to read all the spells and what they do to build what you like to play. Donât just build what others online say, have fun with it because this is what makes this game unique!
OCEANWOLVâS
Pick a class that matches your playstyle to avoid a learning curve:
Barbarian (powerhouse + high damage + high defense)
Druid (companions + magic + crowd control)
Necromancer (companions + magic + summons)
Rogue (speed + agility + precision damage)
Spiritborn (powerhouse + adaptable + versatile abilities)
Sorcerer (magic + ranged + elemental attacks)
Things to know about the Helltides:
Red Zones (on the map): Changes location every hour and offers upgraded gear from chests and elite battles.
Hellraising Bar (top right): Fills up as you fight, with every â spawning a mob, bringing you closer to an elite enemy at full bar who drops valuable items.
